I sorta fudged the tcnBPDU explanation. In the video I said the tcnBPDU is a triggered update. This is not necessarily true. The tcnBPDU contains no data of any relevance other than it is a BPDU sent in the direction of the Root Bridge. This facilitates the reconvergence of the spanning tree in the event of a topology change.
